The Dilmunia Canal and Marina project, which is under construction by Cebarco Bahrain WLL on behalf of Ithmaar Development Company and supervised by Consultant Ansari Engineering Services, passed an important milestone in mid July 2024 when the seawater was allowed to enter the newly constructed marina for the first time. The marina, the construction of which is formed by high quality precast concrete blocks, is located at the north coast of Dilmunia Island and features an inland central semi-circular haven connected to the sea by canals. Following the next phase of works, the marina will be connected, at a waterfall structure, to the north end of the scenic, recreational Dilmunia Canal which extends 1.7 kilometres through the island.
